Since 16th March 2020, the Rogues Shanty Chorus have been broadcasting weekly livestreams in lieu of physical rehearsals.

We run two different broadcasts which are livestreamed simultaneously to both the Rogues Shanty Chorus Facebook page and YouTube Channel and to date, our livestreams have a reach of almost half a million views!

‘The Shanty Sessions Livestream’
Each Tuesday between 7:30-9:00pm BST, Stephen and Paul – the musical directors of the choir have been live-streaming conversational style videocast featuring sea shanties, maritime music and folk songs, with special guests.

‘The Lowestoft History Livestream’
On alternate Mondays from 7:30pm, the group hosts historian, author and Lowestoft legend Ivan Bunn to broadcast presentations about the history of Lowestoft, Waveney and Suffolk.
Past sessions have covered Sparrows Nest, Lowestoft’s Witch Trials, The History Of Kirkley, Lowestoft’s Beach Village and much more.
