Kirkley Community Choir launched in 2012 to offer a completely accessible way for the people of Kirkley and beyond the opportunity to explore the health and wellbeing benefits of singing and the positive social aspects of singing as part of a group.
The choir meets on alternate Wednesdays between 6:30 – 8:30pm at The Kirkley Centre in Lowestoft to sing “well-known popular songs with a positive message”.
Kirkley Community Choir comprises members who are passionate about providing opportunities to better connect Kirkley residents, in order to contribute to a happier, healthier and safer Kirkley.
Our sessions are fun and friendly and we cover all styles of music. New members are always welcome – no experience necessary, all ages and any ability welcome.
If you would like to join us, please get in touch.

COVID-19 STATEMENT
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Kirkley Community Choir has been unable to meet since March 2020.
We are closely monitoring government advice and guidelines in order to decide whether we can safely and responsibly regroup in physical rehearsals and what measures we will have to introduce to ensure that the health and safety of all our members is protected.
However, many of our members have experienced the effects of acute isolation throughout lockdown and beyond. We believe that mental and physical wellbeing is positively impacted by regular connections, social interaction and singing and music.
Therefore, we are continuing to offer the Kirkley Community Choir experience to all of our members as well as anybody else who would like to join us…
…we are holding fortnightly online singing sessions where we continue to stay practised with our repertoire of accessible feel-good songs, singing technique, catch up with each other and generally have lots of chat, musical fun and laughter!
If you would like to join one of our Zoom meetings, please get in touch.
