ORIGINS OF THE SIXTIES
The swinging 60s might be more than half a century ago now, but revolutionary impact of the music still remains to this day. Whether you love the music of this period or wonder what all the fuss is about, join us on Sunday 2nd May for our music workshop entitled ‘Origins of the Sixties’ ….
This workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to sing some great songs from the decade and across different genres, explore the history of music from the time or just enjoy finding out about this fascinating period of music and culture.
From the Beatles to the Stones to the Kinks and many more – we will explore and sing music from Psychedelic Rock, the Summer of Love, the British Invasion, Motown and protest music – the 60s had it all!
This workshop is for 12-24 year olds and is part of the ‘Origins’ project by the Seagull Theatre which is funded by Youth Music Foundation.
Please note that there will be the chance for discussion and to ask questions and that singing will take place.
The room will open at 2:45pm.
To book, visit the Seagull Theatre’s Origin webpage
